Judi Chaplin aka STUDIO REDHEAD
Judi is an Australian 'regular' appearing on stage and film for over 30 years. A NIDA graduate based in Melbourne, Judi brings an authenticity to performance drawing on the traditions in LABAN and Stanislavsky actor training with a strong focus on voice and body.
TV credits include The Olivia Newton-John Story (mini-series 2018), Doctor Blake (2018), Neighbours (2016), Australia On Trial (mini-series 2012), Offspring (2011), Tangle (2010), Rush (2009), Kath and Kim (2002), The Secret Life of Us (2001), Big Sky (1997) and Home and Away (1996) .
Stage works include 3 Sisters, Metiniour Theatre (2017), NaGL (Not a Good Look), Metiniour Theatre (2016), After Dinner by Andrew Bovell, Edinburugh Festival (1997/8), Pikers, Belvoir Street (1997) and the Stables (1996).
Independent works include The Nose Always Knows (Writer/Director 2001) and St Bernie (short film lead actor 2018).
Also a regular voice over artist since 2015, Judi combines industry experience, technique and passion in her educational programs for children and young people and professional training for actors. Judi is a regular guest lecturer at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
